International Earth Day is an annual event, celebrated on April 22. It began in 1970 and is now celebrated in more than 193 countries each year. It’s an acknowledgement which reflects the interdependence that exists among human beings, other living species and the planet. Earth and its ecosystems provide its inhabitants with life and sustenance. Caring for our Earth is a collective responsibility, a call to promote harmony with nature and the Earth to achieve a just balance among the economic, social and environmental needs of present and future generations of humanity.
Today we want to celebrate the beauty of the Earth – from the jewel-like glitter of tiny salt crystals to the vast expanses of the saltpans and the majesty of the oryx in the Kalahari desert that inspired us to create Oryx Desert Salt. Thank You Earth.
